Merry Christmas 2011

There's a Christmas song that says "it's the most wonderful time of the year." Even more so when comparing Denise from this year's Christmas card photo with the photo from the 2005 card (located here). Recovery continues, long and slow (and sometimes frustrating), but also marked with progress. Denise's titers for cocci continue to show no cause for concern, so her I.D. doctor lengthened the number of months between visits. Also, though she did go for MRI and CT scans to see if the cocci has progressed further in her brain, Denise did not have to go for a spinal tap at all in 2011! And so we hope the trend continues.
